Build Overview

This is a ranged trap-control Assassin built for strong pack control, reliable clear speed, and efficient bossing in dense areas. The core idea is to stack Lightning Sentry damage with smart trap placement, while Death Sentry and Mind Blast keep enemies grouped and controlled. It works especially well when paired with a good Act II mercenary and high resist/skill gear, then played at safe mid-to-long range.

How To Play

  • Start every area by pre-placing traps before fully engaging.
  • Use Lightning Sentry to build layered kill zones at choke points and around room entrances.
  • Trigger with controlled pulls so monsters are forced into sentry range.
  • Use Death Sentry for corpse explosions and safer chain clear in packs.
  • Keep Mind Blast and Cloak of Shadows ready for escapes, regroups, and crowd suppression.
  • On bosses, place sentries first, then reposition, then let traps cycle instead of face-tanking; let the merc do contact pressure while you maintain distance.
  • Swap to mobility-oriented setup if needed between runs (faster reposition vs defensive survival setup).
